The Elephant House, located at 21 George IV Bridge Edinburgh, is an award winning café which came to fame as the inspirational writing hub for J.K. Rowling’s early novels. This gourmet tea and coffee house is conveniently located very close to the National Museum of Scotland and provides great views of Edinburgh Castle through the back of the cafe. The Elephant House serves a range of hot beverages, wine and beer. From a pot of healthy herbal tea to a cup of hot cocoa with chocolates imported from Italy, the choices are tempting and plentiful for every customer. The Elephant House menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner are small but put together with great care. The dishes boast of an earthly quality of homemade food. On offer are such national favourites as haggis, neeps and tatties as well as grilled salmon burger served with avocado and aioli. A variety of pizzas, salad and entré can be ordered alongside the main dishes or separately.
