Located minutes from Point Udall, The Far East Restaurant has been making waves since it opened in November 2022. Our popular sushi dishes and steakhouse items have had locals and tourists from all over St. Croix talking about this new concept from within Grapetree Bay Hotel. Since we are right on the water, you can enjoy cool breezes while eating our house-made eggrolls, soy-glazed salmon, or sesame chicken.

This restaurant was a team collaboration between 2 chefs and ownership of the hotel to accomplish and we are excited to be open now 3 nights a week!

Beautiful ocean view and breezes during the winter months here. Service was efficient, good and super friendly. Food came quickly but not too quickly. The menu is great with lots to choose from. The appetizers were a good value and there were lots of other things I will try next time as well. At $55 for the ribeye I felt this was not the best value as it was a very skinny cut. Overall 4 stars and we’ll be back.

The food is usually very good, however, this evening it was not as good as it had been. The service was slower than their usual as well. I account for this as it was Valentine’s Day evening and the room was full and noisy. Come to find out the manager was out sick and unable to assist in the operations.

Not enough help! Had a reservation but chose to sit at the bar as table too close to music. Poor bartender was on overwhelm with little to no help as the place was packed. Waited way too long to order and then get a drink, waited over an hour for our meal once ordered. Food was good though.

We had a great experience. We shared the chefs special eggroll, which was delicious. My wife had the lobster, and I had the ribeye. Both were excellent. Service was great and the entertainment was very nice. Definitely will be back.

The food is always great. It is different than all the usual places. The ambiance of being sea side for dinner is fabulous. The service was spot on.

I have mixed feelings writing this. This was our third visit. We arrived a few minutes after our 'late' reservation. Apparently we missed the crowd, completely. Although the place was almost empty, except for the woman playing acoustic guitar and singing. The 'manager' graciously seated us at a nice table. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Everything was wonderful. The spicy tuna roll was okay. A small salad was tasty. My short ribs were good. My wife wasn't very happy with her chicken katsu. Again, everyone was nice. Unfortunately, later that night my wife had digestive problems. Until then, we were looking forward to going back. I'm recommending it figurng this was the exception, not the rule.

We ended up being 90mins early for our reservation. They were completely booked. We asked if there would be a charge for late cancellation as we didn’t want to wait. They said absolutely not and then asked if we were okay with them setting up a table to the side of their main service area. We said absolutely! So impressed with their customer service. And food was delicious!!
