The Farmhouse at Redcoats is set in a beautiful 15th century farmhouse and gardens nestled in the north Hertfordshire countryside. Sherwin Jacobs heads the kitchen and promises to deliver an experience you will not forget specialising in quality, fresh, local produce. Private dinning is available in the charismatic main house rooms. Please call us directly to book an afternoon tea, 24 hour notice is needed.

    Una Gemma preziosa nascosta nella stupenda cornice della campagna Ciltern Hills, Perfetto come sempre, il servizio perfetto, lo chef e la sua brigata, con la loro cucina impeccabile, che da origine ad un esplosione di sapori nel palato, dalla freschezza e autenticità dei prodotti all arredo semplice ed elegante al tempo stesso, Nulla è fuori posto in questa meravigliosa location, di gran lunga superiore allo standard medio inglese. Cucina tradizionale rivisitata in chiave moderna e sofisticata.

    The food and service was excellent. We were celebrating a 50th birthday and was really pleased with everything. We were sat in a private room which was a pleasant surprise. The service from the moment we arrived until we left was excellent. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.

    The room was very noisy, bred was not enough compare to the butter., when you serve food which requires eating with your fingers ( king prawns) you should have a bowl with water and lemon to clean your fingers and take away the smell of fish Overall disappointed compared with the prices

    This place is amazing. The food was amazing and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The staff are very friendly and attentive too. Our compliments to the chef, I had the BBQ Cauliflower and my sister in law had ravioli which super summery, fresh and yummy.

    Gem of a restaurant, always a culinary delight, highly recommended. The waiting staff are always polite, attentive and knowledgable about the wine and the food. I visit as often as I can with friends and family as it's truly a a wonderful experience.

    Not a great experience today have been many times without a problem. Was not happy with the main meal was meant to be fillet of hake. Did not look great not the usual nice white colour and was full of long bones was accompanied by what was meant to be potato and leek was well and truly over cooked. It went back sadly my husband was already eating his meal, so therefore presented a problem for me. Obviously, they took the price of the meal off the bill, but that wasn’t the point really the lunch was ruined.
