   Very enjoyable upmarket pub food, with lovely and helpful staff. The pudding menu was a bit too hearty for us - all crumbles and sticky toffee puddings with nothing lighter - bring on a lemon tart! But otherwise extremely nice.

   Excellent food, friendly service, good value. Would definitely recommend the tagin. Website states dress is smart casual but some people there were definitely untidy and scruffy but wasn’t a problem to us but might be to some. Recommended !

   Fat Badger in Harrogate is a lovely restaurant, with excellent food. Having eaten in there on a few occasions now, the fillet steaks have been exceptional each and every time. Staff are very good, service is good, the ambience in the restaurant is nice, and the Fat Badger bar is always a great place to have a drink before or after a meal.

   Great food cooked to perfection served by attentive and friendly staff. First visit for our party of four and would highly recommend this restaurant for great food and value.

   Had high hopes for such a lovey place. Had a 9.15pm reservation and was told needed to order as the kitchen closed at 9.30pm. Surely the latest reservation should be 9pm if that’s the case. My main came with part of it missing that I had to ask for. Was then practically ignored when we came to wanting to settle our bill which eventually we had to get up and request. Very poor set up.

   Fantastic food and lovely service. Restaurants is tastefully decorated and very welcoming. The bar area is very nice and again great service.

   The Fat Badger is nicely appointed it wasn’t busy inside as warm outside just three tables occupied so no ambiance sadly. The menu was limited and they missed a trick by not offering a couple of the starters as a starter or main size - risotto and the mussels. I ended up having two starters instead of a main. Risotto was stodgy not silky and lacked parmigiana but was ok. My husband had Caprese salad to start but had hardly any tomatoes 🍅 but a dish full of olives 🫒 instead? His main was the chicken in broth with spring veg and dumplings. Overall flavour good chicken cooked nicely but the dumplings were too wet and stodgy and lacking in flavour. Wine - Whispering Angel 👌service impeccable really nice guy very young guy serving on Wednesday evening very competent. Disappointed ☹️ overall

    Terrible service from head of house-he was rude, aggressive and clearly would rather we were not there. We booked a table for 8.15 and arrived late at 8.21 - we were time the kitchen shut in 9 minutes so if we didn’t order in next 9 minutes we couldn’t eat. There are ways of speaking to customers and approaching a late arrival- all be it 6 minutes, but his manner was so poor I would have walked out but I was treating a guest and didn’t want to let them down. The rest of the waiters were delightful and attentive and the found was nice, but he ruined what should have been a great evening.
