   My friend and I went for the first time for her birthday. I have been to a lot of restaurants in Savannah and was excited to try something new and what seemed like a perfect acclimation of food and drink without the pretentiousness of fine dining, however the service was not good and the food was mid par at best especially considering the price. The $7 bread that we got to start was rock solid and hurt to eat. The butter it came with is good as well as the tar tar. Our entrees came out before we were done with the apps and there wasn’t enough room on the table for everything so we ended up giving our apps back just to have space even though we weren’t done. Our server barely checked on us and the tables were so crowded he had to stand directly behind me where I could even see him. Our share plates had water on them so they were clearly not polished, my menu had a sticky red substance on it and we had to ask about specials and had to pry details about the food. I left a note that it was my friends birthday and it was not acknowledge at all by the host or service. This was not a causal approach it was lazy service. Not a terrible experience but I left feeling a little bad about taking my friend there for her birthday.

   Our party of 6 had a table outside which was wonderful. The space was beautifully decorated with great lighting and the food was excellent. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ across the board!

   This place could be good and may be great for the GEN Y but it is very dark and loud for dinning. Menu is much smaller than appeared online. Hambergers were good but lamb meatballs were under cooked. The waiter was not really paying attention to his guests - my friend had the founder and did not want the fennel salad - he offered no substitutes. Over meh.

   Food was excellent! Brussels sprouts and NC Flounder were especially delicious as was the Left Hook cocktail. Server was very nice and attentive in just the right way. We didn’t like the noise level but everything else was great.

   Wonderful drinks and the steak was great! Service was extremely attentive. Great place for all occasions.

   0/10 experience!!!!! No food for over 2 hours. Horrible service. Ordered a bread app for 4 people and it was only 2 and a half pieces of bread. Went for a birthday, and didn’t get anything for it…. Even though, when making reservations they said you get dessert. Ordered a drink that never came to the table.

   Valentines dinner at Fitzroy was great! It was packed and had a very lively atmosphere. Our drinks were perfect. Beet salad to start and the ribeye special and brussel sprouts for main. We loved both sauces we got with the steak. Manager helped us choose an Italian brunello that was perfect. Thanks for a great night!

    We dined at The Fitzroy in Savannah, GA, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the restaurant was clean and well-kept. We were seated on time, and the hostess was friendly and helpful. Our table was back-to-back with another, which gave us some privacy, but it became a bit awkward since we kept bumping into the people behind us when shifting in our seats. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but definitely noticeable. We each ordered a glass of wine, which was enjoyable. My wife had the lamb bolognese, and it was quite good—flavorful and cooked well. I ordered the NY strip, asking for it medium. Unfortunately, it arrived very rare. I sent it back, and when it returned, it was closer to medium rare but still too undercooked for my liking. To make things worse, my silverware had disappeared when the plate was taken to the kitchen and wasn’t brought back with the dish. At that point, it was frustrating trying to track down our waiter, who, though polite, was not easy to find and wasn’t particularly attentive. On the bright side, the steak was removed from the bill without us having to ask, which I appreciated. Would I give it another try? Yes, I would. But with all the great restaurant options in Savannah, it’ll probably be a while before I do.
