The food and service were exceptional. Our waiter, James , was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I could say the service was almost too fast. We barely had time to order a drink between courses. Overall it was a great experience. Only negative, I didn’t like the chairs; they were quite uncomfortable. Also, it was a cold and windy night and a gust blew our table every time someone opened the door. Minor issues for such a great meal.

Three of us enjoyed sharing creatively prepared amish soft pretzels, potato stuffed latkes, pork belly, empanadas and key lime pie. All were delicious. Cocktails were great. Service on a busy New Year's eve was outstanding. The one downside was being unable to converse normally due to the noise.

It was my birthday and it was a restaurant I had visited up in Hamden years ago. But this restaurant was even so much better. I had an incredible server and the food was absolutely out of this world amazing. Made my birthday so special. Thank you guys so much!

Overrated. The place itself lacks charm and the tables are arranged too close to one another and in uncomfortable places. Ours was situated in a main traffic route and near an interior exit. The chairs seemed to be taken from a school gym. While there is a unique variety of dishes on the menu, the four we tried were lacking in flavor and not that impressive. The corn beignets were fried hush puppies with corn inside served with a sweet milk gravy. Weird. The barria empanadas were decent. The burger was good but nothing remarkable. The crab and shrimp club was bland and uninspiring. The french fries were greasy and inedible. Overall, not a good experience for the money.

I have to say I was a little disappointed in my experience here. I had read rave reviews about Food Market and was excited to try it out. I went at around noon, and was given a lunch menu. I ordered the pork street tacos. They were average at best. The meat was poorly flavored and cold. The toppings didn’t have any flavor. The apple slaw I got on the side was nothing special. I normally love street tacos, but I couldn’t even bring myself to finish these lazily thrown together ones. I expected more for a meal totaling over $20.

Our server was fantastic and very attentive. The food was delicious. We got the birria empanadas, the poached pear salad, the pat lafrieda burger, the duck parts, and a dirt cake on the house for our anniversary. Everything was cooked and prepared to perfection!

Our food and mocktails were delicious, and our server Danielle was excellent, attentive and gave great menu recommendations.
