Most villages have a pub at their very heart and here in Surrey’s Walton-on-the-Hill, The Fox and Hounds pub-restaurant is that place. Promising to maintain a local feel, The Fox and Hounds team has also developed a menu that is proving worth travelling for. Seasonally changing, the menu is fresh and full of European flavour with all dishes featuring locally sourced produce, some even bartered for at the bar. Despite it being a very busy Mother’s Day, staff were welcoming, service was fairly quick, and food was great. They appear to be concerned about dogs when full, but we had no issues after an initial doubtful conversation. Lovely afternoon!

Good value for money lunch option in addition to a varied main menu. Very tasty food served in a very friendly and courteous manner. Happily return to try other menu choices.

Had a lovely lunch to celebrate a birthday. A friendly welcome, efficient service and great food. We had a lovely time.

We were a party of four for lunch. The staff were delightful - so helpful and cheerful. The food was delicious and very ample portions. We would definitely go back.
