Afternoon Tea, a decades-long tradition at The Brown Palace, is set amid the historic grandeur of the Atrium Lobby serenaded by a melodic piano. Guests enjoy a pot of properly brewed English tea accompanied by scones served with Devonshire cream and preserves, savory tea sandwiches, and a delightful array of classic tea pastries.

Palace Bar is open Tuesday through Saturday evenings. Sip on classic cocktails, wine, or a refreshing pint with charcuterie and other inventive dishes. Live music by The John Kite Jazz Quartet will complete an unforgettable and lively experience.

$10.00 per person for Vegan and / or Gluten- Free. Parties of five or more, please choose a maximum of three teas. Complimentary second plate of sandwiches included. Twenty percent gratuity will be added for parties of five or more. We will not accept more than three credit cards per party, and the check will be split evenly.

      Tea at the Brown Palace is always a special occasion. Unfortunately, for us, it just isn’t worth the cost anymore. The service has gone down hill, and we had to ask for more hot water and for a refill on our sandwiches. Our waitress just seemed to disappear. The food is good and the atmosphere is incredible, but for this price, I expect better service.

      Overall we had a really great time for tea! A little on the pricy side but worth it!

      Showed up a early for our reservation. Took hostess over 40 minutes past our reservation time to seat us because lack of available tables despite us having a reservation and everyone having a time limit (that is not enforced even when busy). While waiting we got drinks at the Churchill bar (that is within the hotel). It took 25 minutes for 2 cocktails to be made and 2 glasses of wine. Bartender was really taking 10 minutes to make a single cocktail (we were sitting at the bar in awe of how slow she was). For Afternoon Tea the food was ok and our waitress was very pleasant but overall the experience was not worth the money. Ended up going to nearby restaurant afterwards for food and drinks.

      We had a wonderful time, and our server (tho very busy) was lovely. I think some training would benefit - our server asked if we needed anything else and when we asked to for a 2nd plate of scones was told "we are all out, as at the end of the day there aren't many items left over as earlier in the day they were consumed"..." Now, like every other customer we paid the same price and telling us they didn't have (plan) on enough isn't the greatest in customer service. There were 4 of us and only two types of one scone, and 3 of another type. We had hoped that each of us would be able to try one of each of the scones. Same with the "treat" tray - only 2-3 of each type and unable to provide a second plate.

      We had a lovely time at the Brown Palace atrium! Delicious tea, and snacks. The ambiance was gorgeous. Service by Mariana, Shantal and Tina was fantastic. Thank you for a beautiful afternoon.

      This was my third tea at the Brown Palace. Overall it was fine, but compared to teas I’ve had in the last couple of years in Castle Rock and Colorado Springs, I found the food and the service underwhelming for the cost. It’s always a lovely time and the atrium is beautiful.

      The holiday tea at the Brown Palace is a very special treat! My husband & I enjoyed it with our 2 granddaughters which made it even more special. Ambiance is wonderful and the tea itself w/finger sandwiches, scones w/ lemon curd & Devonshire cream & assortment of dainty desserts are out of this world delicious! Go if you can!

      Our Tea at the Brown Palace during early January of each year is a tradition, marking birthdays for the coming year. We love the ambience, especially when the Christmas decorations are still up. The waitstaff is wonderful, especially Hiwat, who has been our server each year. She makes it entertaining and is always ready to help with suggestions for tea.
