    An excellent Christmas lunch choice of menu. Perfect proportion of food good quality well presented & very tasty. Great champagne to start with & brilliant wine choice with our meal for 4 thank you 😊

    The whole experience was wonderful, the food, service and value for money. The Christmas menu had plenty of choice and was varied. The Christmas decorations were beautiful. Great atmosphere

    An excellent dining experience ! We have a Christmas dinner here every year, and it's so consistent. There are a few choices on the menu but we always opt for the traditional Christmas fayre - Prawn cocktail was served in a lovely sauce with crunchy bits, delicious, followed by an unusual Turkey Balloutine, really tasty with all the trimmings, nice cranberry sauce too ! Finished off with Christmas pud, sauce & ice cream , very yummy ! With our glass of white wine followed by a bottle of red, it was the perfect meal. Portions were just the right size, well cooked and presented with style. A lovely atmosphere and ambience, beautiful decorations, everyone happily chatting around you and enjoying themselves. Much credit to the staff who served us - smiling, chatty but still in their professional mode, nothing rushed, the right timings between courses, service was impeccable, in fact - Everything was PERFECT !! Thank you to The Grand.

    Overall food was excellent quality and value but experience was marred by the following: Wanting to place us for dining in the lobby, an area away from the main restaurant which was totally lacking in atmosphere and definitely an overflow area. No wine coolers, we were told they had run out, we had to wait to a staff member to be free each time we wanted a glass of our wine from the fridge. Very disappointing given it was a special occasion, which was specified on the booking. I am bemused as to why the occasion was requested if staff then treat you like a ‘walk in’ as opposed to booking several weeks ahead. Some staff quite rude when I was not prepared to sit in the lobby area.
