The Grill at Hacienda del Sol is one of Arizona's top restaurants located in a beautiful setting at the base of the Catalina Foothills. Breathtaking mountain and city views are captured from The Grill dining room where you will be treated to Spirited Southwestern Hospitality and a remarkable menu featuring local ingredients from the resort's own organic gardens, local purveyors, and growers.

The Grill wine list, with over 800 selections, was twice bestowed The Award of Ultimate Distinction by Wine Enthusiast Magazine and has been awarded the Best Of Award of Excellence; from Wine Spectator for 24 consecutive years.

Everything was outstanding ie; ambiance, food, music, seating location at a window, and a friendly and attentive server. Also, the young host at the entrance, was very nice and professional. We had a short talk, and he even helped me in locating my wife, ha, ha. Thanks for an enjoyable New Years breakfast, William P Wilson

If I could give Hacienda del sol Grill a zero I would. We stayed 2 nights in the Sonoran Suite which was lovely, however, the food was a massive disappointment. Monday night with reservations for 2, it took 30 minutes to get our drinks ordered and another 20 minutes to order a filet mignon and a ribeye. 1.5 hours later after complaining we were finally served. Filet was so tough when cutting the whole table shook and we’ve had a better ribeye at Outback. Please don’t get me started on the sides. The manager said they would comp us dessert for the inconvenience. We sent the food back uneaten , refused to pay and got attitude from the manager. He never offered to compensate us for our wasted time and horrible evening. By the time we had enough we went to the Terrazzo but was closed and ended up ordering a burger from the bar at 9:30 pm. Our food and drink experience over the 3 days and 2 nights was abismal. This is a bar food, beer and wine kinda place, mixed drinks were just wrong. On a side note, the Sunday Brunch left much to be desired, ran out food. Overall we were entirely disappointed with the management’s attitude and handling of this dumpster fire of an evening and we were not the only table to have this experience, another table of 3 walked out and 2 other tables were concerned and everyone was comparing and discussing the situation. Way overpriced for sitting out in the bar patio. Thought there would be views but just in the over flow of the bar area.

I love the Hacienda Del Sol Sunday Brunch! what a treat. The service was exceptional from the host to the server...superb. I love when they have crab claws and oysters on the half shell...which they did today...AMAZING!

We love Hacienda Del Sol and will return. However, we were there on Christmas Eve and it was disappointing. Our server, Angelo, was excellent and very personable. He couldn’t help it that the kitchen was slow. We were seated at 7:20 and our entrees arrived at 8:35. We also felt that the menu was very limited. The “prefixe” menu was very disappointing. It consisted of a choice of 2 appetizers (both involving cheese), only 3 or 4 main courses, and third course of a cheese plate and Sherry. Then there were only 3 ala carte items on the menu. The biggest disappointment was that they have replaced the delicious hot pepper chocolate truffles, that are always complimentary, with a tasteless brownie.
