The Grill at Hacienda del Sol is one of Arizona's top restaurants located in a beautiful setting at the base of the Catalina Foothills. Breathtaking mountain and city views are captured from The Grill dining room where you will be treated to Spirited Southwestern Hospitality and a remarkable menu featuring local ingredients from the resort's own organic gardens, local purveyors, and growers.

The Grill wine list, with over 800 selections, was twice bestowed The Award of Ultimate Distinction by Wine Enthusiast Magazine and has been awarded the Best Of Award of Excellence; from Wine Spectator for 24 consecutive years.

Our dining was a birthday celebration dinner in The Grill. We had not dined in The Grill for many years, instead preferring the patio side of Hacienda Del Sol. Our experience last night illustrated what a gem we had been missing. The service from front desk to table and through our dining was excellent. The timing of the phases was perfect and the food, outstanding. I don't believe we will let much time pass before dining in The Grill again.

Somewhat disappointed with this visit. It's been a couple of years since I last dined here and the biggest thing I took away from this dinner was the lack of execution between the staff and the server. The server was very good but his help seemed to be lost or non existent. My companions meal was excellent but my Chippino was average or below. Clams that were not open, lack of seafood items in the dish, (no shrimp, scallops, and very little fish) made this dish seem lacking. They did overcompsate by flooding the dish with very wide noodles that were just ok. I've never seen wide noodles in Chippino before, but hey, maybe they thought it was compensation for lack of seafood! Overall, I'm no longer recommending this restaurant as a go to place in Tucson for an upscale evening.

Dinner and atmosphere was excellent. The vegetarian meals were exquisite as was the service. A beautiful evening.

Everything about our evening at Hacienda del Sol was special from being greeted by a lovely staff person at the door, to the excellent, professional wait staff, the food was exceptional with so many special items to choose from. The views from our table were endless as the time past and really added to the atmosphere. The live piano music in the walkway to the seating areas was a great touch as you could hear the lovely music, but it was not intrusive. This is the perfect place for all special occasions in your life.

Delish meal and excellent service. Noise level was quite which we really appreciated and we enjoyed the background music provided by the piano player. It was not overpowering. We will definitely return again.

The location and view are gorgeous and overall made up for the disorganized service and mediocre food. Everyone was very nice and the food had it's moments, but for the price you expect more.
