   Lord Nelson lived nearby and was a patron.Now the patrons are a mix,pleasant enough,good food with a Yorkshire pudding the size of a small hat.Nice atmosphere,attentive staff,coffee on the river.

   A friend recommended 'The Gun' to us, so I made a reservation for Sunday roast - the food was delicious, the staff very friendly and swift, the view (it's opposite the O2) splendid. I had the roast rump of Cumbrian beef with duck fat roast potatoes, a true delight. I'm definitely looking forward to the next time at this pub.

   Not my first visit and hopefully not the last! Simply delicious food, excellent wine and friendly and knowledgable staff. If available I'll recommend the bloody Mary oysters!

   I was hosting colleagues from abroad for dinner so wanted somewhere with good British food which would feel "special" but relatively relaxed. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace and a fantastic meal so all boxes ticked. Only slight downside was that service was a little slow when we were trying to order drinks, but very friendly and ultimately worth the wait. Looking forward to a return visit.

   Meal spoiled by a very noisy group in the same part of the pub as us. We made representations to the staff but they were unable or unwilling to talk to them. The food was OK on average and our drinks were good.

   Great food but the service was patchy - we got our drinks after the food had arrived- we had to ask for salt and pepper - it was a bit confused - I still enjoyed the food immensely and the building

    We went on Saturday for dinner with my in laws. The duck I ordered was very dry and was really hard to chew and my mother in law had an upset stomach from rare kidney with goat. However wine and desert were very good and delicious. The overall pub experience is great with amazing views and atmosphere. We have been before with my husband on Friday and Thursday nights when we had drinks and burgers for dinner, but not in the restaurant. I would not recommend the restaurant as it is overpriced for what it is compared to other places on London but the pub is great with good wine and beer selection.
