Beautiful venue! Always a nice evening at Highlawn. Views of the city are spectacular. Food was delish. Service was amazing. Ate in the lounge. Live piano/music was wonderful. The lighting in the lounge was a bit bright for my liking otherwise an incredible evening. Highly recommend!

2 of the 3 steaks totally undercooked. We know this place cooks on the "rarer" side so we ordered medium and the steaks were still mooing. Fries had a terrible aftertaste like they need to change the fryer oil. Service was rushed, but thankful to the front of the house for sitting us before our full party arrived (all were on time). They changed the menu as well, underwhelming. This is typical of these expensive NJ restaurants that forget they are close to NYC but benefit from the tunnel traffic. I'll uber to Manhattan next time. A cooked steak will be worth the wait. Luckily my wife's meal (her birthday) was good and the night was clear so the view was amazing.

Love a Friday night at The Highlawn. It’s always great to go to listen to Dominic while you have a cocktail and some delicious food.

The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a perfect balance of seasonal flavors and timeless classics. I highly recommend the filet mignon, which was cooked to absolute perfection, and the lobster bisque, which was rich and flavorful. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The service was impeccable—attentive, professional, and warm. Our server ensured every detail of our dining experience was flawless, enhancing the evening. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in an upscale dinner, The Highlawn is the perfect destination. It’s an unforgettable culinary experience that truly elevates dining. I can’t wait to return!

Food was sensational. I guess it was the first night of a new menu so it was a bit slower, but we really enjoyed our dishes.

The experience was fabulous. There was a slight issue with the temperature of one of our steaks but Lucas took great care of us. Great night!

Went for New Years Eve dinner - was shocked that the pre fix dinner $185 while the dance & food option until midnight was $160. Portions were small (too small for that price) but selection was much better than last year. Overall food was good. Lobster Bisque was almost terrible, very fish and very watery. Red wine reduction on the halibut was out of this world. Service and atmosphere were great! Will have to reconsider going next year for NYE.
