The Hoffman House restaurant, in the scenic Hudson Valley, opened for business in June of 1977. The building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.

The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district in Kingston NY, and once served as fortification and a lookout. Today the Hoffman House serves a continental fare, featuring steaks, fresh seafood, pasta specialties and homemade artisan desserts. An open-air, beautifully landscaped garden patio, enhances outdoor dining in the summer, while you can cozy up next to one of our three large stone fireplaces in the winter.

                                                                                        Had an amazing dinner with my husband and friend. We started with the coconut shrimp and clams casino. Generous sized shrimp with a delicious side sauce. Perfectly cooked and tasty clams with no skimping on the bacon were next. Two of us ordered the Scallops Marsala over Angel hair pasta which was cooked to perfection! Melt in your mouth scallops and Marsala sauce was amazing. My husband had the London Broil, again perfectly seasoned and cooked. The waitstaff is very attentive and personable. From the Bartender, our waitress Sam to the busser, everyone is very pleasant. We highly recommend!

                                                                                        Lovely old stone building! We sat in a room with a fireplace, and that was really great. The menu was good, and they had specials. The food was very good! The only downside was that the specials were pricey - ask for the prices if you are ordering from the specials menu, they don't list the prices there.

                                                                                        Beautiful, historic building. Food was a great value but just average and unfortunately the service was very poor. Very nice staff just inattentive and slow.

                                                                                        Happy to return to the Hoffman House. Food is consistent, service is good and prices are reasonable. It’s a great place for our family to go for a casual meal while visiting the Hudson valley.
