Rose Garden Tea Room is set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.

Any party with more than 6 guests MUST call to make their reservation or email tearoom@huntington.org.
Please do not divide your party into multiple reservations, as each Open Table reservation will be treated as individual and will not guarantee adjacent tables.

Please note that visiting the Rose Garden Tea Room requires purchasing admission to The Huntington. When planning to visit the Tea Room, please purchase a separate ticket to The Huntington for the same day as your Tea Room reservation. Tickets are available at huntington.org

Th food and service were good but given how far ahead I had to book the reservation and the additional cost to enter, I was a bit disappointed with where they sat us. It was more of a private dining room vs the main room or patio, it was minimal and nice but not what I would have chosen. I asked to move and was told the main room didn’t have any tables available. The food was excellent and I really loved our server! But it was a hassle to feel like I had to line up both reservations, pay to enter and then still struggle to find parking

The service and atmosphere were outstanding but the food quality was disappointing, especially for the price. Their “Devonshire cream” is not authentic, it is just whipped butter. Desserts had a freezer taste.

Everything was exceptional. Very attentive service, delicious sandwiches, good pastries, the rose tea was so good we went to buy some in the shop, the lemon custard and marmalade were amazing. I go to tea all over LA and this is top 5. It lived up to the hype.

I love the Huntington tea room but the food has gone down hill. The sandwiches this time were garlic cream, caramelized onion w tomato, salmon, cucumber, and egg salad. Only a tiny smear on each sandwich. I have celiac disease and the bread was dense and seemed like it had just been thawed, kinda wet. Why two onion type sandwiches? What happened to the chicken salad? Too little filling on very dry bread for the price. Not sure what to think. Not sure if I would recommend.

Food not worth for what you pay for. But the experience is good. Plus you get to go inside the library and other gardens.

We loved every aspect of it! The walk to the Tea House is like walking into a masterpiece painting. The Tea House is an unforgettable “experience”, we would never forget. The quality of the food is exceptional, the service is absolutely outstanding and the ambiance is so exquisite, you feel like you’re in a fairy tale. We can’t wait to go back!!!!
