It was my wife’s birthday and they decorated the table and were very nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

A MUST eat restaurant if you like Italian cuisine. Could not have been better on our visit for dinner on Valentines day 2025. Attention to detail was fabulous, our waitress was attentive, friendly and always with a smile. Even topped off by a red rose for my wife from the Maître D at the end of the evening. 10 out of 10 from us

We’ve been here a few times and love it but unfortunately not the greatest experience this time. Perhaps staff too busy with valentines night bookings? Fabulous wine, starters and main but bought wrong dessert (manager kindly did not charge) but they had me down as GF, I even enquired with the waitress about which ice cream flavours were GF and then the ice cream came out with wafer straws on! Please please please make sure all waiting and kitchen staff are fully aware of food intolerances.

Without doubt our meal on 14th February was one of best we had had in a restaurant. The food was first rate. The Italian Kitchen has it's own bakery in Wareham and the shared starter of Camembert with lightly toasted Sourdough was amazing - as was the mains of Tuscan Chicken and the Trio of Pork. They offer a very good Chianti, too! Many thanks, well be back!

We had a wonderful evening at The Italian kitchen. The service was excellent the food was wonderful and very good value. My only disappointment was when I booked the table I mentioned we were celebrating my wife’s 75th Birthday. The staff were obviously not aware of this and she wasn’t even wished a “Happy Birthday.”

Wow what an experience. On arrival you can see the beautiful river, and the restaurant looks inviting and overlooks the stunning scenery. As you walk in it's so quirky and beautifully designed. We were welcomed and seated and loved the decor and comfortable seating. We had a lovely circular booth and the table had lit candles, little dry flowers and the cutlery was presented folded into the napkins (so many places don't bother any more) we were served so well by the manager for the evening who was so attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food, omg we were not prepared for how tasty this would be. We had the five small plates and chose crab linguine, pork belly, melted mozzarella, squid and king prawns. The quality of the food was out of this world and the presentation was beautiful too. We skipped any type of main although they looked beautiful we had no room and after enjoying our drinks we managed a dessert. I had the affrago (probably misspelling this) it was the espresso with ice-cream and my partner had a selection of gelato each was beautiful and again served with wafers and strawberry's all to make the dish look beautiful. We had a wonderful date night and are looking to revisit very soon. I can't recommend this venue highly enough. It ticks every box X thank you to the staff for Thier lovely service and amazing food.

Pizza was very good but the steak was rather tough for me.... We had an early meal and were sent upstairs to an empty restaurant when there seemed to be empty tables downstairs. We sat on our own for about half an hour before other people came to tables..... However a nice experience .....and we would go back another time!
