Nestled in the heart of Brighton’s historic quarter, the brick-paved Lanes, The Ivy Asia Brighton is open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and much more.

Savour a menu as rich and varied as the diverse cultures that span the continent of Asia. Service completely let the meal down. Waitress unhelpful, didn’t explain anything on the menu, she was unapproachable . Had to ask for plates & cutlery. She cleared the table numerous times when we’re still eating, without asking if we finished, waitress service station right near table, food for us and other tables sat there for a while getting cold. Waitress was spooning and looking closely at our food to work out what it was. Food was tepid. Not worth £22 service!! A birthday treat that we wouldn’t repeat sadly,

Food was horrible no flavor in most dishes except the small plate chicken yakitori. Only thing that made the experience worth it was the golden dragon dessert dish. I would come back for dessert and drinks but not the food.

We have been a great supporter of the Asia and the Ivy however sadly the Charm has gone ! I don’t wish to go into loads of detail but this used to be a high end Dining experience but it has been gradually depreciating over the last 12 months and after our last Visit this month in Jan 2025 does not deserve a return , there were a number of mitigating circumstances which if the management wish to discuss I would be happy to share but I’m not one to share our poor experience as I find that, quite crass . Poor show Gentleman and won’t be returning .

Once again the overall experience was very good but the only issue was that one of our dishes the chickpea and shishito pepper curry was lukewarm.

We have dined here a number of times and love it, however the bar service let you down this time. Our table wasn’t ready so we were shown to the bar. We were not acknowledged and didn’t get served for some time. Whilst I appreciate the staff are busy making drinks, a simple hello and we’ll be with you in a minute would go a long way rather than being completely ignored. It comes across as really rude unfortunately.

Beautiful food in lovely surroundings & the waitress was excellent. Had an amazing evening. A lovely experience.
