    Siamo arrivati con un po’ di anticipo e nonostante che facessero entrare clienti senza prenotazione ci hanno fatto aspettare l’orario. I piatti sono scarsi nelle quantità e non particolarmente buoni. Nota invece positiva la cortesia del personale. Costo eccessivo considerando quello che abbiamo mangiato e la quantità scarsa dei piatti.

    Came here to treat my mum on mother’s day weekend and needless to say we were so disappointed! this was my first time doing an afternoon tea and wanted it to be special but have been let down by the sheer lack of service and quality of food. The reception staff were polite and showed us to our table but from then on, we weren’t seen to. It was not packed yet not once did any waiter ask how we were finding our food or even remembered to give us any plates to eat! The bread for the sandwiches were dry and were lied to about the mother’s day flower on top of our trays, not receiving one when those who were ordering afternoon tea AFTER us got a flower. When finally getting a waiters attention to come over, they quietly apologised and gave no compensation. We left no service charge which we never do because of the sheer disappointment we felt today especially after overhearing a group of people having to ask servers to take their order as they’ve been waiting for a while too. We have been to the ivy elsewhere for breakfast and dinner and so surprised this one in bath was vastly different. Would not recommend.

    Unfortunately our experience was not good. I have eaten at the Ivy a few times however the service this time was very poor. The service was very slow and we had to ask several times for various items that were missing. No one came round and asked how our food was and we were celebrating my daughter’s 21st birthday, however no effort was made to help her celebrate. It was very poor value and we did not pay the discretionary service charge as we felt we felt very disappointed with the service provided. The waitress was quite rude on a couple of occasions and this is not what we expect from The Ivy. Needless to say we will not return.

    We sat for 25 minutes. We were asked on sitting whether we wanted water and asked for table water and then sat for 25 minutes and then left as no one gave us water or took an order from us or showed any interest in us

    Despite the food being delicious and the ivy being beautiful inside, the service was very poor. We had to wait a long time to order food and we had 2 items missed off our order. When we reminded the waitress about this, we still never received them and the bill at the end charged for these. We had to flag this again and eventually had them taken off. It was disappointing as other tables around us had the same experience and the general consensus was that they were short staffed. It’s a shame as the Ivy is usually top service.

    Great setting and ambience as you'd expect from the Ivy. We both had the roast lamb, good quality meat. However you'd expect a restaurant of this quality to provide mint sauce with roast lamb, which the waitress said they didn't have which I find surprising! When I raised it with the restaurant manager they said they may have ran out, so not sure if anyone knew what was going on.

    We loved the look of the restaurant and the decor was lovely. We both asked for our steak to be cooked to medium. Unfortunately, my partners was a bit overdone and mine was much more rare. The chips and sauce were lovely. Dessert was fab too. Nice food, maybe just a bit overpriced for the quality!
