The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. Executive Chef Gary Lee creates balanced seasonal menus, featuring Ivy classics, but accounting for today’s tastes, incorporating more Asian dishes, salads and vegetables, and the advent of a “sea and shells” section. Director Fernando Peire leads a strong and experienced team to deliver the unfaltering service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years. The Ivy welcomes customers without reservations at the central dining bar, where the A La Carte and Set menus are both served.

Get your glad rags on and grab your favourite people to make this a true Ivy night to remember, featuring a bespoke set menu and dazzling entertainment. Enjoy three-courses with a glass of Champagne for £110 per person. Should your plans change, please ensure you give us a notice of cancellation by the 29th of December at the latest to avoid losing your deposit.     Abbiamo cenato la vigilia del Natale e ci siamo accomodati con circa venti minuti di ritardo ma ci hanno permesso di aspettare alla barra, nel frattempo abbiamo degustato un buon cocktail. Personale disponibile. Cucina buona. Locale elegante.

    La prima volta in questo ristorante storico, molto positiva. Nonostante un piccolo incidente siamo stati serviti molto professionalmente dal nostro waiter e dai suoi colleghi. Molto buono tutto dal soufflé al pie al dessert. Ci torneremo

    Good ambience and all staff were welcoming and attentive. Having ordered from the vegetarian menu it was a shock to receive the chicken equivalent, unbeknown to us. Unfortunately this ruined our meal - it's the first time my wife has ever eaten meat in our life.

    Shocked that our server tried to upsell us twice. Once was to get us to scan a QR code to book a table at one of the franchise restaurants. The other time was to try and sell us a snowman Christmas tree bauble. I thought this was unbelievable and not what I would expect from The Ivy …. Massive drop in standards I’m sorry to say…

    Wonderful ambience, great service and food was delicious. We had the cheese soufflé, butternut squash soup to start, Goose and Turkey Shepherds Pie, haddock and chips and risotto for our main courses. Friendly service and we were in and out in an hour and a half, in time for a theatre matinee at 2pm.

    The three course menu offered a wide variety of tasty creations. My colleagues and were thoroughly delighted. Having turkey and goose in the shepherds pie was clever and well executed.

    Our first visit, very impressed. Food delicious and very well presented. Service was faultless, staff very friendly and attentive.
