Amazing experience for my fiancés birthday! Complimentary champagne to start! Food was delicious and the drinks were strong. All desserts are homemade and sound delish but the key lime pie was our #1!

Our server Gina was professional and knowledgeable. Her personality was delightful and added to our overall enjoyment. Sunday afternoon dinner was most enjoyable. Support staff was appreciated. Each course arrived complete for the members of our party, and was cleared appropriately. We were pleased with our dining experience and plan on returning!

I had the pasta and lobster dish which was amazing. Our waiter selected great recommendations according to what we were interested in eating. We had a wonderful experience can’t wait to come back.

Place is top notch in every way. Just wish I didn’t get HARRY as my waiter. At first chalked it up to maybe he was having a bad day but when I noticed the service he was giving to his other tables (adequate) I figured I must look like the guy that ran off with his wife!!! I will return but sorry HARRY, you will NOT be my waiter…

It’s worth the money. Great food and service. Our waitress was the best. She described all the specials like you wanted to order them all. If you have leftovers they give you a ticket to get it on the way out. I thought that was classy instead of giving you the bag right away when you still have dessert. Great experience! Will definitely want to come back.

For the first time dining at The James my wife and I had a great time celebrating our 11 year anniversary. Even on a Saturday night during “rush hour” the service was top tier, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. We really enjoyed the Crab Cake, Tomahawk Steak, Duck Fat Gratin Potatoes, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Overall I’d recommend The James based upon our experience and we will be returning for certain. Special shout out to our Waitress Ana Besy who made the experience memorable with her fantastic service.

Personally feel like there is better restaurants on Long Island that are equally as gorgeous. We order the James salad and calamari to start, the calamari was good but the salad definitely fell short in the flavor and size department. Drinks were great though. We ordered the beef Wellington, spicy rigatoni vodka special, skirt steak, salmon entree and Brussels sprouts and broccolini for the table. The best dish was the salmon which is disappointing considering salmon is basic. The pasta special tasted like canned spaghetti-o’s & the shrimp on it had no seasoning. Overall would probably skip this place or just sit at the bar for drinks if I’m in the area.

We dined with Carlos in the upstairs dining room, celebrating a not-so-average accomplishment & he was outstanding, funny, attentive & knowledgable. He toasted us with champagne, gave great & honest recommendations & was just overall exceptional. Would absolutely come back to dine with him!
