The venue is beautiful…it has a great Gatsby feel. Pricing is typical of a steak house, so a bit costly. Overall, a lovely experience for a special occasion.

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner with my boyfriend. The ambience was amazing, we could not stop looking at the decor. My boyfriend loved his baked calms and skirt steak. I really enjoyed my oysters and Icelandic cod. Our cocktails were good, but I think I want to try a wine next time. We also got the cheesecake, which was very good. The staff was great! They coat check your coats and your leftover food, it made the dinner easy and gave a wonderful look to the whole place. Plus, they gave every women a rose for the holiday. Very thoughtful and sweet touch. A little pricey, but overall worth for a nice dinner out.

Reserved a table for 4 on Valentine’s Day. Arrived early and got a drink at the bar. Standing room only, but that was to be expected. The bar service was rather slow. We got seated ahead of our reservation time, which was great, but they wanted to sit the 4 of us at a large 6 top. This might haven been acceptable had the music not been so loud. We wouldn’t have been able to have a conversation at such a large table. There was an open 4-top that we requested to sit at instead and were initially informed that they were saving the 4-tops for couples since it was Valentine’s Day. We accepted to sit at the 6-top, having no other choice and once seated a manager came over and moved us to the more appropriate 4-top. From there on the meal was good other than the music being too loud in our opinion. Service was good other than waiting on the bar for drinks. Food was good, as expected for a restaurant at this price point.

Food was amazing, staff was wonderful and considering it was Valentine’s Day we never felt rushed or like the service was lacking in anyway.

Our experience is wonderful. Our server was Michael. He was very attentive. Him and the rest of the staff delivered excellent service. We couldn’t have been more thankful. Thank you for your hospitality!

This was our first time at The James and we had a great experience The food selection was very good the quality and presentation was great. Service was exceptional! Added touch for Valentine's Day with the rose. Will be putting this on our GO TO list and will definitely be back again. Looking forward to it!

It was expensive but good food. No complaints I would go back. The only I would like to see is more fish entrees.
