The Kings Arms lies deep in the heart of the East Devon countryside. We’re surrounded by wonderful local farmers and growers, and we aim to make the most of this by using locally-produced ingredients whenever possible. Our meat is sourced from our nearby family farm, and most of our fish is supplied by our very own fleet of fishing boats.

Here at the Kings Arms, we serve a varied, locally-sourced menu, with breakfast, lunch and dinner all available in the bar, conservatory and outdoor terraces. We will happily accommodate different dietary requirements, with friendly and informal table service wherever you choose to sit.

    Went for Sunday lunch, absolutely delicious, good portions size and price for quality of food especially the meat.

    First time of visiting here for many years. Pleasantly surprised. Very good welcome friendly atmosphere. Service great and very accommodating to our needs. Food excellent and plenty of it. Nice space of time between courses leaving time to chat and take in atmosphere

    We had a party of 10 and had to pre order the food which wasn't a problem. We had the room to ourselves so could chat without raising our voices and we're free to roam around. The food and service were faultless and all of the plates were completely empty at the end of the meal. The prices were in line with any other pub, and you get what you pay for.

    Wonderful roast dinner Disappointed with the pudding sticky toffee pudding was dry even with the sauce and the cinnamon ice cream, it was vanilla ice cream with cinnamon dusted on top.

    We booked a Carvery. They stopped serving Carvery more than 5 years ago. Therefore we ordered a large beef and a large chicken with Veg. The only difference was the size of the plate and the price. Resolved upon paying. Not our first visit. Food quality has always been excellent. We will return, but not for the large roast.

    I ordered a roast beef. There was some tough fatty bits and gravy was poured over it all. I prefer gravy to be on the side.

    The food was exceptional (although I would have liked a larger salad!) The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We'd definitely like to come back again soon.
