Beautiful and quirkily renovated old pub. Loved the fires in the big barrels and the little booths to sit in. Lovely atmosphere. Service great. Food good if a little pricey.

Quality of food was superb, full of flavour and very well presented. The ambience was lovely, relaxing and we spent a great couple of hours relaxing over Sunday roast. Definitely recommend

Atmosphere, food, service were top notch. Would highly recommend the kings Arm. The owners make you feel very welcome and nothing is to much for them, they accommodate to your every need. We stayed in the cockpit cottage right next to the pub and were very impressed at the standard by which it has been refurbished. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Amazing food yet again at the king's Arms. Best starter, Crispy pork bites with sweet and hot sauce, followed by the best liver and bacon I have ever eaten. Delicious raspberry cheesecake for desert. The presentation is detailed and superb. Service was excellent, smooth, friendly and super efficient. We both felt that for such brilliant, quality food and a great all round experience, the price was excellent! Many, many thanks.

We’ve eaten here many times. We were given menus but not the “Light Bites” menu, this has happened previously. We asked for the menu and were handed a beer mat with I think 3 choices on it, one of them bring the chicken and bacon ciabatta that we’d had and enjoyed before. I wasn’t impressed with the beer mat menu, indeed it was almost as if they were saying “here you are, peasants!” The person serving us was sloppily dressed and reached over both of us to grab the salt & pepper without an excuse me. Overall, I wasn’t impressed which is a real shame.

Dear Linda, Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m very sorry that your recent experience did not meet the high standards we strive for. Our 'Light Bites' menu has recently changed to a 'Bar Menu' this is the reason for it to be on coasters. Regarding your concern about the owner’s appearance, please know that our team are usually dressed in a professional manner, but on that particular day, the owner was off duty, enjoying a family lunch. However, we experienced a busy period and our staff needed assistance, the owner immediately stepped in to help, ensuring that things ran smoothly. Food was absolutely amazing! We had a Roast, so delicious, amazing portions! Desserts were brilliant too! Great service! Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

We had a lovely warm table for four with a baby chair in the lower glass walled seating area on a Thursday Steak night. Great service, really good food. Can’t wait for a return visit.

Lovely gastro pub. Love it here but on this occassion our food was luke warm, and my fish was really really salty.
