Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails. This New American fine dining experience is not to be missed. The Lakehouse can now be reached by boat as well, as guest dockage is available at the new gorgeous bayside locale.

Excellent dinner. Special occasion because it’s so expensive. Loved everything but the Sangiovese wine was just fair. It was obviously a cheap brand. And the pour was small.

I was excited to have lunch at The Lake House but disappointed with my lunch. The restaurant is beautiful and service was great. Unfortunately the food was not so great. The bread was dry, the calamari was covered in a cream sauce that caused it to be mushy. My Grilled shrimp came on a soggy salad which I returned. Still too much dressing. The smores desert looked anazing but was filled with thick marshmellow with very little ice cream. We tasted and did not enjoy it. Food was just off yesterday. Usually good. But don’t order the smores desert.

The Lake House was wonderful! The food and wine were delicious and everything arrived to the table in a timely manner, without the feeling of being rushed. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Overall an amazing experience!
