We ate outside in the courtyard and enjoyed another wonderful supper club. Highlight of the meal was the bloody mary sorbet with raspberry and cucumber salad, also the mackerel with pickled root vegetables horseradish and smoked creme fraiche.

The food was amazing; we all had different dishes (mains and desserts) and were very impressed with the taste, quality of ingredients and the presentation. We got complimentary bread and butter at the start, which was a nice touch. The venue has character and is a charming old building. Our server was brilliant, especially considering her very young age - she was friendly, polite and knowledgeable about the menu. The village of Buckland is beautiful - we went for a walk after lunch. I would highly recommend making a visit here.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the food let it down, the starters were all lovely, the main course came on cold plates the samphire was stringy and my lamb was very chewy.

We visited The Lamb for the Supper Club 'celebrating vegetables' menu - which looked wonderful. In fact, the fennel soup was excellent, the ravioli way under-cooked (not just al dente), the onion tatin tarts were for one person rock solid, for another soggy and a mush! On the whole though, the food was good, although Nathan continues to use far too much salt which spoils the flavours which he is striving for, and must be a concern for many customers, particularly those who might have health issues. The member of staff who looked after us was wonderful and she went out of her way to ensure that one of the group who is pregnant was given choices that suited her condition. She contributed much to our positive report of the evening.

We experienced the special supper club menu which was based around vegetables from the garden. The main course had a lamb option. The food was innovative and delicious. I especially enjoyed the chilled fennel soup with beetroot icecream. We all ate in the bar area so the atmosphere was friendly and cosy. We will definitely come to another supper club as its a pleasure to eat high class restaurant food in a local village pub

Food was well cooked and well presented. Plenty to chose from on the menu. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and weren't rushed at any stage. Will definitely return.

Sunday roast came out stone cold (twice!).. Its a shame, we love the local ambience and have been a "regular" for years - but The Lamb has all gone down hill of late.. Waitresses were awesome as ever, but we cant eat poor food it was so so upsetting as kitchen staff didnt seem to care..

We attended the special seafood supper club. We sat in the bar area which was very cosy and less formal than a restaurant but the service was excellent. The food was delicious and I especially enjoyed the dressed oysters and the seafood chowder. Paired wines were included and these complimented the food and added to the experience. A very enjoyable evening, excellent value and will definitely come back for another supper club evening.

Attractive decor but the (overly) dim bar area is clearly used for diners in preference to drinkers. Lots of parking but there was no lighting to help us safely back to our car. Take a torch. Service was very good to start with but we did have to wait 45 minutes for our puddings to be served and it was sometimes difficult to catch the staff to order another drink. Staff were polite and nice however. Dogs are allowed to join you if you’re dining in the bar area (not the restaurant) which is something that should always be a must for country Inns and it scored highly with us. Beer prices were very expensive in our opinion but their wine charges were okay. The 3 different meals and 2 puddings that we chose ranged from adequate to very good but the main courses were marginally expensive for what was on offer and the puddings even more so. Killer sting in the tail was the 12.5% service charge! An unsavory and expensive Americanism that has started to creep in, so that cost us a further £20.00 on top of our bill. Would we go back? Probably not - mainly because it was a tad pricey overall.
