We came here for my husbands birthday, that I made sure to note in reservation. When we arrived, there was no mention of his birthday. The food was ok overall, nothing that honestly stood out as delicious. We ordered the hamachi crudo to start and I would say that was maybe the best thing we ate all night. I ordered the Sea Bass and my Husband had the filet, both were honestly just ok and not much flavor. Service overall was good, our server was nice overall. I would say, I was honestly disappointed due to the fact that I wanted to make my husband‘s birthday special and it feels like it fell flat overall with the place I chose. I would say come here for the ambience to experience the quaint beautiful restaurant that it is, but we will not be making a second return.

A fun & playful interior design that feels like an adult treehouse makes this a must see restaurant in LA. Food was quality but not jaw-dropping. Service was a little slow but the ambiance had us mesmerized and distracted. Much of the restaurant is under a partially covered roof, so temperature can vary. I’d suggest wearing layers.

As usual, this was a wonderful evening. The service was great. The food was delicious and the setting, as always, was just this side of magical.

Second time being here and the food was incredible as always. The entree took a very long time to come out for some unknown reason. Which was odd, as the table limit is 1:45hrs, we seated for nearly 3hrs.

The food is nothing short of outstanding, Shawn (sp??), our server, was super friendly and helpful, my wife and i have been to restaurants all over N Am and i said to her The Little Door had the best ambiance of any restaurant i have ever been in

The staff is very nice and accommodating... however, we had reservations at 7:30 and we weren't seated until 8 PM, which made our guests extremely grouchy and unhappy (they were definitely peckish). Since we were there to celebrate their engagement and they are early eaters, the night started on the wrong foot. We were given two complementary appetizers once we were seated.... and that was a lovely gesture. But the long wait was definitely challenging for our guests. Also our guests were in the mood for French food and they selected Little Door because it is billed as French restaurant on OpenTable... which it was years ago, but now is definitely not... so that was an additional disappointment. Overall, the dinner was good, our waiter was swell, but the experience was not what we had hoped it would be.
