   Main course was excellent but the price of desserts put us off having two courses. There were six people in our party and none wanted to pay £10 for a dessert

   Once again a most enjoyable experience with a superb choice of food available. We had the Haddock - as large as ever and a challenge, sausages and mash - solid and tasty, belly of pork with a mountain of crackling and a Jamaican lamb dish, spicy and different. All were devoured with pleasure. Thank you again all at The Lodge, a marvellous standard, well done.

   As always fantastic food with an interesting menu. Starters were huge as was the main course so go easy if you are a small eater !

   As always really good all round, staff very attentive nothing too much trouble. Always have a smile when you walk in. George is very aware of all aspects. Find food has improved since Christmas nicely presented also hot plates. Excellent service from chefs & kitchen staff all brought to large party all at one time no one has to wait which is really good service and appreciated. Would recommended to lots of family & friends .Just one small suggestion table knives are quite blunt.Hope you take this as helpful & not a criticism .Soft drinks are a little overpriced otherwise no one could criticise the meal and the quality of the food.

   My first time here. Waitresses took drinks order and our main choices were taken bit later. The food was fine. We had to ask for dessert menu as waited awhile plates weren’t removed. I realise it was a busy service being Easter Monday . Might visit when not Bank Holiday

   Good service, a few mistakes made but they were quickly, efficiently and politely rectified. The place is nicely decorated and the food is good, though quite expensive. I would definitely go back, and jusging by how busy it was that view is shared by many others

    Fantastic roast and puddings. Good portion size and reasonably priced drinks. Lovely interior to restaurant and service great. Quick serving time of food. Would return and recommend.
