Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.

The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!

Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

The Lodge is our “local” and since its revamp it is our first choice when eating out with friends and family. We are always made to feel welcome, staff are friendly, and service, no matter how busy, is mostly pretty good. The Menu choice is excellent-we’ve eaten some pretty special, new to us, dishes. If we have negative is that portions are too generous no matter which menu we choose from, and that includes the Children’s Menu! A big Thank-you to all at the Lodge.

Anniversary lunch with friends. Wonderful food and good service. Only problem the Restuarant was cold which spoiled it!

Although the lodge was busy there were plenty of staff who attended to our drink and food order very quickly. Food was plentiful and delicious and service very good. Will definitely recommend

Absolutely glorious food for all 4 persons attending . Excellent portions and great selection of quality menu Cannot rec highly enough.

A lovely evening with the family celebrating a late Christmas get together. We were treated with a warm welcome, hosted by attentive staff and the food was excellent. Thank you!

This was our first visit to the lodge. We were really impressed. A lovely big restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. There seemed to be a lot of staff about. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was very well cooked and they had good sized portions. A really nice place I am sure we will be back.
