   The Log Cabin never disappoints. As always, the food was well prepared and plentiful. We will continue to return to The Log Cabin.

   The ambiance was wonderful and we loved dining here for our first night in the mountains! The short rib ragout with gnocchi was incredible! We hope to be back soon!

   My salad was delivered quickly but somehow my wife's salad order was screwed up and we sat for quite a long time before finally hailing Jason -- and he handled it quickly. The restaurant kindly gave us both of our salads on the house which was much appreciated. Overall, a great experience as always and we always go to the Log Cabin during our frequent visits to Highlands.

   The restaurant was closed on the day (sunday) of the reservation. There was no indication on Open Table at the time that we made the reservation that the restaurant was closed. We spoke to the manager on Monday and he said that they do not use Open Table. We found him to be less than friendly. We communicated with Open Table about the situation. I would not go to the restaurant.

   The Log Cabin is in a charming location in the heart of Highlands. The menu has varied entree selections which include amazing fresh seafood options that are all cooked to perfection. I will definitely return to The Log Cabin!

   Everything about the evening was very good. The reason the rating is 4 stars instead of 5 is because we ordered an appetizer that was listed on the menu and we were served a different one. The server expressed an apology, and said that sometimes the kitchen will make a substitution. It was a surprise.

   The person at the front desk was chilly and had obviously forgotten how to smile, and the waitress although polite lacked warmth. The food and wine were good, but not special. The ambiance was ok. They do not serve cocktails, or beer. They do not accept gift cards, and they charge you an extra 4% for using a credit card. We (2) had a $55 bottle of wine, which was good, an entree and desert, which was $130 before tip. Would not recommend and will not go back

   very disappointing. highly recommended to friends who we had with us and all i can say is must be new management because definitely down-hill from last season.

    Found this place at the last minute and it was exquisite. Especially our hostess and server - Carrie. Not only did she try and seat us early, she was extremely knowledgeable about the extensive wine menu and food selections. And better than that - she was 100% down to earth. We will definitely be back.
