Silo Falls is a Historic Mansion located on 40 acres of rural land in Montgomery County, MD. The Mansion includes a full service kitchen & bar.
Within the Mansion there is a Grand Ballroom for Weddings & large events as well as a number of private rooms for dining or smaller events. The breathtaking property features a large lake, farm silo & many areas for beautiful photography.

Met at the bar an hour before reservation. Bar tenders were busy but attentive and drinks were delicious and wine list good. Seated at table, Server was good, did her very best. Appetizers were delicious. The vegetarian was happy w/ salad. 3 ordered chicken (2 of the 3 chicken dishes (w/ pasta) had dry chicken, the one that came w/ prosciutto was juicy. 2 of us ordered steaks.: one Fillet-Rare, one Prime Rib -Medium. Both came out well done. The waitress checked her order, confirmed she’d entered the requested doneness & agreed both were over done. Both steaks were replaced but it took a long time, the rest of our table had finished eating by the time our steaks arrived. Not the end of the world as I would rather wait for a well cooked steak. The Menu listed a horseradish sauce w/ the Prime Rib, I asked the waitress, she had no idea what I was asking for. She asked the kitchen & they also didn't know. Asked her to please bring a menu & when she did I showed her on the menu. She brought out plain horseradish. Since the kitchen & the waitress didn’t know what I was asking for I gave up & just used the horseradish. Over all our evening was nice but will think twice before returning for steaks.

Beautiful restaurant, terrible food. My petite filet was over-cooked and under-seasoned. Well, it actually tasted completely unseasoned. The mashed potatoes were tasty but not hot. The asparagus was mushy and cold. Extremely disappointing! We were there on a Saturday night with multiple (very loud) private events happening. Perhaps the kitchen couldn’t keep up with all the parties and the restaurant guests but it was really unacceptable.

The food was mediocre. My salmon dish was ok but nothing that I would order again. My wife's chicken and pasta dish was disappointing. The chicken was over cooked and the pasta was lacking a sauce.

I had the warm salad and it was superb! The shrimp were done perfectly and the corn from the cob was fresh and sweet.

Our bartender was very nice and mixed some great cocktails. Very personable. Our dinner was delicious and the portions were big! We also had a very nice server who treated us well.

We had tickets for a music show at Silo Falls and decided to have dinner there beforehand. We had heard mixed reviews but were very pleased with our experience. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The menu could be a bit more extensive, but there are some nice choices.

This was my first time at Silo Falls. My friends and I very impressed. -- great food, great service, beautiful surroundings and quiet enough for a nice conversation. We'll be back!

Zack was an excellent server. The food was delightful. I had the Warm Maryland salad, which I think is a new addition to the menu. Would like to see a somewhat more expanded menu. Had a fire pit after dinner on the grounds, under the stars but we could still hear music from inside.

We tried the short rib bites and don’t recommend them. They were extremely tough and difficult to chew. Short ribs, when prepped right should melt in your mouth. I tried the chicken stack, it was mediocre. I had high hopes with the layer of spinach in-between which was plentiful, but it was flavorless, maybe a little burnt, and oily. Same with the pasta. The hamburger was good which is why we gave the food a “fair” rating. Maybe we would consider going back for the burger but that would be it for food. I was really disappointed, especially for the price. It was not worth it with the overall low quality of the food. Our server and the rest of the staff were very nice, friendly and prompt.

I was a little put off to find the menu had been reduced to one page of selections. But I understand this may be a cost saving measure. Our server Kelsey was pleasant and mostly able to answer our questions about the foods. She didn’t know the name of the noodles in the crispy chicken dish. When you serve pasta like that you should give the diner a large spoon. She brought me one when I asked for it. We had hoped to see the band but were informed that dining in that area was takeout style. Glad we opted not to and ended up in a dining room that was nice and quiet. The sound level in the large rooms would have made conversation impossible.
