We had such high expectations based on reviews, we had wanted to come the last few trips but didn’t make it in. The starters were lovely, wine list and by the glass was great, the roast was a big let down. Maybe we were at the wrong time? Maybe it was an off night? Everything else was good, but the roast was the main and why we came. Downstairs is lovely candlelit atmosphere, while upstairs is a bit more modern, if there is a way to request downstairs seating, I would.

An overall great experience, managed to satisfy everyone in a party of 9 across all different age groups. Amazing food and attentive staff! Lucky to have been given a "private" area in the dining room, which meant noise levels were kept to a minimum!

A beautifully apportioned bistro pub with excellent food and very friendly and professional service. I will be returning.

Nice venue to meet friends to catch up. Staff attentive but not overly so. On the night mixed views on food. Fish stew was deemed tasty but would have liked a bit more fish. Tamworth chop was tasty - very large portion.Soup and cheesecake went down well with person who had a small appetite. For non- Londoners bit on the expensive side but quality of food and drink of a high standard.

Been wanting to come for years and it just didn’t live up to expectations. Food was okay, three of our party ordered the rump roast and the entire plate was beige. Not a green veg in sight. The potatoes for the table also didn’t cover everyone and it was a joke to have to pay an extra £5 for a second dish. Two of us had starters which were okay and two of us had desserts which were apparently the highlight of the meal. For a Sunday roast it was such a let down and not worth the money and probably won’t go back.
