Inspired by Moroccan architecture and the Greek Islands, The Mez Club opened its doors in September 2016 and is renowned for its beautiful styling and feel good vibe. The Mez Club was designed to offer locals and tourists alike a beautiful and feel good meeting place which has a flexible menu, that works for both grazing and dining. The upstairs space known as The Souk has been designed specifically to care for parties and group events. We welcome you and your friends to join us in enjoying our restaurant and of course, beautiful Byron Bay.

    This is one of my favourite restaurants of all time! The food and service is excellent, the wine is paired perfectly and the ambience is superb. I highly recommend everyone tries The Mez at least once in their lives.

    Would not recommend for large groups. Booked for 13 people and were split across 3 different tables. Still had to do set menu. The set menu is 8 of their “best dishes” but I don’t think people pay $88 for marinated olives and pickled vegetables. Took 40 minutes between each dish and were served across 3 hours, after we informed them we wanted all the plates at the same time. Even though we had informed them numerous times that people had dietary requirements, they still bought out the wrong food items then had to re serve the food. We asked for a bottle of wine, after 35 minutes they informed us they had run out of glasses. Ended up cancelling the dessert because the service was so appalling. When the bill came, they tried to charge us for the set menu again which was already pre paid. Won’t be going back.

    Great food and good service, the restaurant has music and is vibrant. Food choices were varied and great quality. Will definitely return

    Mez club was a wonderful experience. The decor is beautiful, service was perfect and food - so delicious! We tried the $70 chefs selection. Such amazing flavours - only thing I would say is the chicken portion was tiny to share. I’d Definitely go back.

    Don’t miss this one. Incredible food, incredible service. Great atmosphere. The attention to detail from the kitchen to the table is beyond amazing.

    We found food flavours and textures confusing. Music was too loud for conversation despite requesting it to be turned down. Decor lovely but not enough to bring us back. Unfortunately the experience was way too expensive for what was offered. There are so many other better options in Byron Bay that this restaurant is competing with. Mez need to pick up their game and get clear on their direction for food and for overall longevity in the restaurant business.
