Classic Irish cuisine from chef Sean Smith in the Kildare countryside.

Sean’s mouth-watering new menu is as always sourced locally with some ingredients even grown on the very grounds of the Cliff at Lyons Estate. Food lovers will enjoy classics such as Roast Rib of Beef, Cherry Valley Duck Breast and Oven Baked Baby Turbot with sides of seasonal vegetables, mini Seafood platters and of course for something a bit sweet, Whiskey & Orange Ice Cream or Chocolate Fondant with Salted Caramel Ice Cream.

The Mill restaurant is the heart of Cliff at Lyons, with huge double-height ceilings, warm open fire and windows that open up to a terrace beside the mill race and waterfall. Here, you will find a relaxed style of dining where it is easy to enjoy a lunch or dinner with friends or family. The illuminated waterfall provides a unique back drop to this airy and spacious room.

Beautiful setting, lovely staff and great food. Best way to spend NYE2024. We really loved it and I thoroughly recommend it. Our waitress was just lively, friendly without being intrusive, knowledgeable and charming. The food was gorgeous and the chefs choice surprises were an added treat. We will be back

I love this place, never disappoints. The venison and steak were incredible. The apple dessert was also a favourite.

A lovely evening in Cliff at Lyons, The Mill Restaurant is really nice with a friendly atmosphere from staff! I had the scallops again, one less this time!! The venison was perfect! Thank you

The food and service was very good. I realise that the Mill is an old building but it was dreadfully cold there yes which took from the enjoyment of the occasion.

Very good food, interesting dishes, served very smoothly. Quiet space, with subtle background music. Christmas ambient around the buildings made the evening even nicer. Downside was - the booking was changed last moment by the restaurant.

The best evening as always. This is such a special restaurant. The food is outstanding . The whole experience from start to finish was excellent. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent too. The chef makes this restaurant very special too.

An excellent service and the food was fantastic, staff are so friendly but not overbearing! I had the scallops and venison and they were cooked perfectly! Thank you for a lovely evening!

Fabulous ambiance. Especially the Christmas treatment. All to very high standard. Service very prompt - sometimes a bit too fast. Next time will ask for pause between courses. All in all a great place for a special occasion
