London’s buzzy Fitzrovia neighbourhood, the contemporary, yet warm and inviting

A vegetarian tasting menu is also available. Please note that all of our dishes are made to be shared.     What an absolute honour it was to have lunch at The Ninth! I have been a huge fan of Jun Tanaka for many a year, especially seeing him on a few cooking shows on tv as well, so it was a real pleasure to finally get to eat at his restaurant! My girlfriend was celebrating her birthday today, and the staff were wonderfully kind, caring and attentive right from the start of our meal. Along with a delicious 3 course meal at an incredible price for a restaurant with a Michelin Star, there was also a lovely little birthday treat for her to enjoy to end our meal. Fantastic restaurant, at an incredible price for lunch, and we can't wait to go back again, perhaps for dinner next time! Thanks so much to you all!

    Okay, the Pain Perdu was fabulous, and the restaurant has a good feel and friendly staff.. As someone who loves French bistro food, (Josephine Bouchon, Bistro Freddie, etc) the remaining courses (of which there were quite a few) were slightly disappointing, - the only one I would probably re-order was a ceviche. A decent bottle of Lanson Le Black Reserve was remarkably good value. I left feeling kind of under-whelmed. Sorry.

    The set lunch at £33/38 is a steal for such refined food. The wine list also offers good options at £50. We especially liked the relaxed atmosphere. Strong recommend.

    The lunch deal is good value for money. It’s also good that they are willing to adapt the dishes for me as I am lactose intolerant. It’s a shame that they couldn’t offer a lactose free dessert other than sorbet.

    Food and service were great. The experience was spoilt by a drunken table of 8 immediately next us, who couldn’t speak at a reasonable volume. The customers at the neighbouring tables were all exchanging frustrated glances. When we complained to the staff, the response was effectively: ‘i know but what can I do’, as if telling the rabble to take it down a level wasn’t an option. It’s a shame, but true to English form, whilst our on site Feedback to staff was positive, we won’t go back

    I can't recommend The Ninth enough! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, and our waiter provided exceptional service—he was kind and accommodating to our large group, offering great recommendations. We devoured all the appetizers so quickly that we couldn't get a picture, and my sea bass main course was spectacular. Overall, I would give it a 10/10—definitely a must-visit for anyone in London!
