The North Hero House is located in the picturesque Lake Champlain Islands.

Reservations made are for our Indoor Restaurant and full Menu. We do not currently offer outdoor seating at the North Hero House.

Parties are seated on a first come, first served basis at the Pier Bar. Please feel free to call (802)372-4732 with any questions or concerns!

    We had great food and great atmosphere. If we had a little more time we would have sat by the fireplace and had coffee. Great restaurant!

    Fabulous food and good value. Everything from the apps to dessert was spot on in flavor, doneness, presentation, and timeliness.

    Under new owners, North Hero House has been transformed from good to great. The food is exquisitely prepared with generous servings. The ambience is perfect. We ate on the porch with its beautiful views of Lake Champlain. It was a wonderful experience.

    I had the pork loin and had to send it back because it was undercooked. The rest of the plate was quite good. My husband had the duck ($38.00) and it was overcooked to the point he couldn't finish it. He was given a free dessert. Expensive for just an okay meal.

    Ordered drinks from menu but then was told out of certain ingredients. Meals were brought mid salad. Asked for bread or cracker (there were bread plates on table) but never came. Glass of wine was ordered when meal was brought but that was forgotten.

    We stayed there for 3 nights and were happy to have dinner there all night - the menu is varied and creative. Drinks also great. The dinners were beautifully presented and delicious - we tried quite a few things. Among the standouts were the mussels in a saffron sauce which is different from the norm and the blueberry crumble.

    What a hidden gem. The restaurant is charming. We had a lovely spot in the front dining area overlooking the lake. We brought our out-of-town guests, and enjoyed the fried brussel sprouts and the saffron mussels for appetizers. Entrees were very good. The server was a pleasure, although the timing for serving was a little off (appetizers came before drinks; entrees were served before cleaning appetizer plates). That was overlooked because we had such an enjoyable evening. We will certainly return.

    We had a fantastic meal where they accommodated my shellfish allergy and still gave my husband a delicious meal full of shellfish. The waitress, Dee, was very busy but still found time to check on us and make sure we were having a great time. Overall five stars and worth the drive!
