Come to The Oar House in Rockwall for lunch or dinner and prepare yourself for a meal you won't forget. Close to The Harbor Rockwall and Harbor Lights Cruises, this restaurant makes a wonderful choice for a meal with anyone.The Oar House has delicious choices both for lunch and dinner. Come and have one of the salads like the finisima Con salmone or the caprese clasica or one of the hearty soups like the lobster bisque. If you're a fan of seafood, there are choices like farfalle al salmone and risotto frutta di mare. For those who love Italian dishes, there are choices such as pollo monsignore and vitello marsala.                                                                         First time visiting this restaurant and we've lived in the area all of our lives. The ambiance was great- cozy, intimate, great for a date night. The front of house and bar staff were very friendly and customer oriented. Actual food service was a little slow, but they were slammed. The waitstaff were again, very nice and accomodating, and made up for the slowness. The food was average at best, and for the price, it just wasn't worth it. It's too bad as this place has everything else going for it.

                                                                        This place is amazing! The food and drinks were fantastic. Each of us ordered a different main dish, and none of them disappointed. The Lemon Drop Martinis were the best we've ever had. It was a little loud since there was a party in the back room, but overall, the atmosphere was great. Our server was quite busy with the party and didn't have much time for us, so it would have been nice if they had assigned us to the other server, who only had two tables during our visit. She would have had plenty of time to assist us. We will definitely be back!!

                                                                        Always a great experience. Service and food are excellent. My daughter has a severe dairy allergy and they were able to accommodate her safely.

                                                                        The Oat House is one of my favorite restaurants ever. Their filets are 2nd to none and I’ve been to Vegas at least 30 times and eaten in many of their steak restaurants. The ambience is wonderful. Their cosmopolitans and martinis are out of this world. If you’re looking for a good Steak restaurant with an Italian villa feel that serves pasta as well as several fish dishes and wonderful steak this is your place. The bartender has been there for 25 years and she is also second to none. A must try, you will not be disappointed.

                                                                        We have been going to the Oar House for probably 35 years. The dinners and their special sauces are phenomenal! The bread this trip was soggy and not fresh. We asked for another order and it was exactly the same ! The service was somewhat lacking! I always state in my reservations if it is a special occasion but the staff never looks!! It was our 50th anniversary and I had to keep telling everyone and I shouldn’t have to!
