Come to The Oar House in Rockwall for lunch or dinner and prepare yourself for a meal you won't forget. Close to The Harbor Rockwall and Harbor Lights Cruises, this restaurant makes a wonderful choice for a meal with anyone.The Oar House has delicious choices both for lunch and dinner. Come and have one of the salads like the finisima Con salmone or the caprese clasica or one of the hearty soups like the lobster bisque. If you're a fan of seafood, there are choices like farfalle al salmone and risotto frutta di mare. For those who love Italian dishes, there are choices such as pollo monsignore and vitello marsala.                                                                         We have been going to the Oar House for probably 35 years. The dinners and their special sauces are phenomenal! The bread this trip was soggy and not fresh. We asked for another order and it was exactly the same ! The service was somewhat lacking! I always state in my reservations if it is a special occasion but the staff never looks!! It was our 50th anniversary and I had to keep telling everyone and I shouldn’t have to!

                                                                        our server, Kristen R, was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. she gave us great recommendations and went over their features. the short rib feature was very good and so were the mashed sweet potatoes we got a la carte. we will be back soon!

                                                                        My husband and I come to Texas every winter. We always make sure we eat at The Oar House. Ask for Mary as your server. She is excellent. Her recommendations are spot on. We love the service and food!

                                                                        Food was okay but they use a ton of sauce on everything. Steak was swimming in sauce, carbonara swimming in sauce. The service was also very slow - weird being it was a Saturday. For 568$ I’d expect a better experience.

                                                                        Amazing experience! It was the first time we’ve ever been and went to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The staff was sweet and even gave us a free dessert! The food was savory, fresh, and delicious. Will definitely be going back!
