This visit was an overall disappointment. The place is attached to a small hotel and has couple of small seating spaces. We were seated in the room in the back of the restaurant which looks like an add-on to the parking lot. The room was very much drafty with all the exterior walls covered, so no windows. I had to keep my jacket on the entire time. The service was slow and inattentive. Our waiter came to the table just quick enough to take the order and did not return to check in until the meal was over. We had ordered a prime rib and Ribeye steak. Both were overcooked. The Ribeye was tough and not of the best quality. Mashed potato was runny and the beans were just thrown on the plate hanging off the sides. They did not have a desert menu and the waiter had to recite them for us. The cappuccino machine was not working and they could only offer hot tea. Either we picked a bad night or every night is just as bad. I was very disappointment of this place that markets itself as a steakhouse. There are much better restaurants in the same area with better cut of meat, cooked better, much better service, and a higher quality location.

Ordered the filet royale which was supposed to have mushrooms below and crab on top with a butter sauce…. Was served filet with out the crab and mushrooms.. had to ask for the crab ( 2times) … the runner stopped the food off then went to make salad for table next doorand never got the mushrooms either….

I finally picked a place that my wife liked! We drove 450 miles from Maine to come back home for the holidays. We spent our last night at Steak 38, having dinner with our good friend. It was all that we were hoping for. The ambiance, music, food, and our server Sam were exactly what we wanted and needed. We will definitely be back when we come home to visit, and will preach the Gospel of Steak 38. Please Don't Change!

We have stopped by Steak 38 for their Happy Hour but decided we needed to stay for dinner and it was a great decision! I had the 16 oz. rib eye and my best friend had the prime rib, both came with smashed potatoes and string beans. Everything was cooked perfectly! We had an added bonus when our waiter sang a song for us. I definitely recommend Steak 38!

We really enjoyed our experience at Steak 38 CH. Even though it was a holiday, the wait staff was thoroughly accommodating without being annoying. The food and drinks were terrific, steaks came out at the perfect temperature. The bananas foster is a must try!

Went to Steak 38 in Cherry Hill for the first time tonight. Dinner and service was outstanding. We had filet with lump crab and crab cakes. We shared both. Drinks were excellent (they actually made a Toasted Almond off menu for my wife.) We also shared a dessert (butter cake with salted caramel and vanilla ice cream.) It was an excellent choice for New Years. Our server was attentive throughout.

The food was excellent. It was a New years Eve menu so a little disappointed that there was not a Cesar salad prepared tableside. The food and drinks were vey good. It is pricey but a good special occasion experience!
