Great food, loved the vibe, very cozy spot to visit on a cool winter evening. Would recommend the lamb shoulder appetizer.

So cozy! Food is always excellent, but our brick chicken and risotto were a disappointment - very under cooked! But everything else was so good as usual! Wait staff and amazing too!

Been there twice over the past two weeks. Great English pub (Gastropub) atmosphere with tasty menu and attentive service.

I had dinner on a Saturday night with a friend. Despite making a reservation on OpenTable, we had to wait 25 minutes to get seated. It was pretty busy as it was a weekend night. When we finally got seated, we were out at a table for 2 upstairs on their upper level which was more quiet. There was no space to hang our winter coats though, so I just had to fold mine and put it next to me on the floor (no table on my left side). In terms of the food and drinks, it was delicious. The food is of good quality, comes out hot and is of good portion size. The service is very good there- the servers are very attentive and professional. Overall, the Oxley has a warm, cozy vibe and is impressive for a gastropub in the Yorkville area of Toronto. I recommend coming here for dinner and/or drinks.

Sunday Roast lunch/brunch was mixed. The roast beef dinner was enjoyed by those who chose it. The kedgeree was poor. The fish was dry and salty and the rice was over cooked and mushy. Very disappointing. The service was very poor. Inattentive staff member - never checked on our drinks. We had to refill our own water and had to wait ages to order dessert and even longer for the bill.
