My wife and I decided to book the Point for our 44th Wedding anniversary. We could not have been better looked after, the service being first class. From the moment we arrived it seemed that we were special guests. I had a mixture of oysters as starters and they were perfect. For the main meal I had the steak Diane while my wife had the chicken. For desert my wife had the crepes while I had the cheese plater. Watching the waiters prepare the steak and crepes at the table was superb. Would highly recommend for that special occasion

My wife meals were below standard. Entree ssoufflé was served too hot and her main was not nice and lacked colour and taste

Loved the views, and the food was amazing. The staff were attentive and very helpful when it came to menu selections. Will definitely go there again next time we are in Tasmania

We went to New Year’s Eve 2025!dinner last night which cost $330 per person . Extremely disappointing not worth the money u did however have a few choices of beverages. The entertainment wasn’t great extremely old school style which was hard as my wife and I aren’t that old . Wouldn’t recommend this . We were told by some of the locals that go every year for the last few years that it was a very bad night comparison to the previous years .

For a relaxed and memorable meal to celebrate a special occasion or to soak up the beautiful Derwent River and it"s shores, this restaurant is amazing. We loved eating here for our special occasion.
