Took my team for lunch. The staff was very attentive and accommodating as we had a large number. The ambience with amazing, it's a beautiful restaurant. The food was a little less desired. Was considerably bland. We had deviled eggs or the appetizer and they were not good. Definitely needs more seasoning and zest. My salad did not seem fresh and had wilted lettuce and was drowned and too much dressing. The Ahi tuna plate was considerably undercooked, and the IPA fish and chips were overcooked. Most of my team left more than half of their food on their plates. Additionally, the menu needs more dietary options, such as vegetarian and gluten-free, and it's to list the nutritional facts so people can make appropriate choices for themselves. Overall, it was a decent experience because of the staff was so friendly. I wanted to like this place, but the food was just not very appetizing.

It felt like our waiter was too busy for us. He did not circle back to see how our food was, if we needed any additional beverages or if we had room for dessert. The food was delicious, and portion sizes were generous.

My husband and I visited The Post Tavern in Ada, MI with high hopes, given the strong reviews and how consistently busy it’s been. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. The Good: The atmosphere is very nice and inviting, and the location is perfect. My cocktail was excellent—beautifully crafted and delicious. The Bad: The oysters were disappointingly fishy. Living in Florida half the year, we’re used to very fresh oysters, and we could tell the difference. We typically finish a dozen with ease but left nearly half uneaten because they just weren't good. The ahi tuna was odd—prepared in an unusual way that made it difficult to eat. The wasabi mashed potatoes were clearly just mashed potatoes and wasabi run through a ricer, lacking flavor and texture. The service was adequate at best. When asked how the meal was, my husband’s response of "it was ok" made it clear we weren't satisfied, yet our server did nothing in response. The Saving Grace: The smashburger and fries were excellent, so we ended up basically sharing that dish. Overall, while the ambiance and drinks are appealing, the food and service left much to be desired. We won’t be returning for a dinner at a table, but we might stop by for a burger and a cocktail at the bar. I hope they work out the kinks because it’s a lovely spot, and we’d love to see it live up to its potential.

Great, classy restaurant with unique food and drink choices, all nicely presented. Portions are more than adequate, and in the case of the lasagna, huge!! Kinks have been worked out - service was fantastic! It’s a warm, lovely, convenient place to share a meal with friends and family. We will be coming back soon!

Great first experience dining at The Post Tavern. Wonderful service, food was delicious, and the drinks were good. The food selection was a bit small and pricey however the servings were quite generous. Beautiful dining space!
