I made reservations online, which when I got there didn’t make sense because there was not crowded. It was a Tuesday night, but what I did like about the online reservation was that it asked about what I was celebrating which was my best friend‘s birthday and I did put that birthday. Our server, considering it was very quiet and not too many people in there was not very attentive and at the end of dinner asked if we’d like dessert and I was waiting for the birthday celebration so it did not happen. Nothing was even said or done. I asked the hostess once we left and she showed me that I did put down birthday and she apologized, but it was sad because we drove from Sherman Oaks to spend the night on the Queen Mary and to have a birthday celebration at the restaurant, and the restaurant was the only disappointment.

Nice place to go once in a life time due to the historic background but the boat and restaurant are very old, very dark, very cold atmosphere. Nothing to impress me to talk about with other people. The food and service was great. Not worth the drive there. I could have eaten at a nicer lovelier place.

The food was tasty and served well. The service was appreciated. However, the parking validation was not complete. We had a bad experience when we exited the parking facility because the validation did not work. It was very frustrating. Every other experience was very well done.

Not sure why the Queen Mary had to “ create these restaurants” when they had beautiful and charming venues on the original ship. The atmosphere was just ok. You can get the same exact food in the Promenade Cafe for less than the Chelsea Chowder house. Menu is more or less the same but significantly less, you just don’t get a table cloth.

The experience to dine at a historical landmark, or rather ocean-mark, provides a unique experience in Long Beach. However, do not expect luxury dining from what used to be a luxury cruiser. Food is average buffet style, but the ambiance and freedom to explore the RMS Queen Mary makes it worthwhile.

We were expecting to experience a dining experience fitting to the queen mary. We got a table in a cold cafe, as the doors were left open and the wind cut through the area, the service was shoddy plates being cleared while guests were still eating. Staff were not well dressed. This is a big opportunity missed the cafe could be a big earner with the right management team, a very sad day for a majestic ship
