Enjoy a relaxed dining experience in a rustic, yet classy setting featuring historical photos on the creation of The Woodlands by oilman George Mitchell. Owners Terry & Jennifer McBurney offer guests a variety of Texan and Southern inspired cuisine complemented by professional and courteous service. Enjoy mouthwatering appetizers such as Crab Cakes, Coconut Shrimp, Jumbo Grilled Wings or Caprese. Entrees include American Wagyu Chicken-Fried Steak, Texas Quail, Certified Angus Steaks, Blackened Flounder unique Pasta dishes and Salads. End your meal with one of many scratch made Desserts including a gluten free Strawberry Shortcake.

Featured on the TV show GoodTaste, it has received rave reviews in the Houston Chronicle, Zagat, Open Table and PKWY Magazine. This restaurant even provides a relaxing patio where guests can enjoy live music depending on the season.

    Been here like 30 times … best value for great independent and wholesome food in the woodlands. Love this place and (as a picky European) this checks so many boxes.

    Our go to restaurant in the Woodlands. Excellent service always and a wonderful menu. Best make a reservation Thurs-Sat as it is always busy.

    RG is our neighborhood favorite. The food is always consistent. The ambience is vibrant and always friendly. Can't wait for nicer weather to dine on the patio. Our server Marco G. was attentive, friendly and provided excellent service.

    Sam was *PHENOMENAL*!!! Will request her if possible moving forward! Personable, attentive, FRIENDLY and thoughtful! They have gluten free beer, dessert, meal options, etc. This was beyond appreciated and tasted no different! Impressive! The only downside this time was 2 tables of screaming/squealing children that were running around under servers carrying trays and such. That’s a no-win situation for anyone, esp waitstaff.

    The food is always consistent. We had the Grogan and Salmon salads. Good sized portions. Our server, Madelynn was pleasant and was always there with tea refills.

    Our experience at the Republic Grille was excellent! The food was plentiful, imaginative and well prepared. Our server, Sam, was OUTSTANDING! She was highly attentive, efficient, friendly and personable.

    We had to return steaks 3 times as they were improperly cooked. Manager stated the kitchen manager himself would cook it properly and it still was undercooked. Meanwhile sides got cold and only one was replaced when properly cooked steak was prepared. Waited an additional 30 minutes while kitchen couldn’t seem to cook steak properly. Manager did not offer any sort of compensation for the repeated mistakes. Will not return to this restaurant.

    We had a wonderful experience at dinner to celebrate my son's 25th birthday. Food delicious and staff courteous and friendly.
