Especially good was the tuna carpaccio, pork belly and ricotta for starters, as well as the skirt steak and cioppino for dinner. The lobster in the cioppino was perfect.

Was a shame that on Xmas day the expectation was not the same. Pork chop was dry, Cioppino was way salty, the duck breast special was too rare that couldn’t even be sliced to cut. The only good thing was the fondue, and how can you mess melted cheese. Not to mention the service, our server was terrible. Mo came to the rescue and was the one to save the night. I’ve always said, even if your food is terrible, but the service supersedes, then you still have a chance. We will be back, because I want to believe it was just a mishap that night.

                                                                                                                            We have eaten at many restaurants in the Vail valley (avon, eagle, vail,) area. This is our current fave. We went Christmas night and was seated in the library. The ambience was excellent, just not the hustle bustle of the dining room. The service was excellent and the christmas special duck was absolutely the best duck I’ve ever had. My husband had the snapper. It was fantastic albiet the dish was small. But it was so good. The tuna carparccio was also excellent to share as an app. Highly recommend this place. It is pricey.

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here. We shared the lamb tagine and we’re still talking about it. I wish I could remember our server’s name because he was the best. We’ll be back!
