Hawaii’s first and only Relais & Châteaux restaurant, The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea offers a 'culinary casual' experience with creative island-to-table cuisine. Menus are created around what is readily available from Maui’s farms and fisherman ensuring that each dish is prepared using only the finest local, seasonal and artisanal products; including those grown in the restaurant’s own orchard.

From its perch on the hillside above South Maui's Wailea resort area, the restaurant offers sweeping panoramic ocean views from the upper lanai and intimate dining under the stars in the garden. Voted one of OpenTable's Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the US, and Top 10 Restaurants in Hawaii.

                                                                                                                                                        The scallop was one of the best preparations I've ever had. Just perfect. The Kanpachi crudo was good but a little underwhelming and not as complex as it could've been and the Kanpachi entree was slightly overcooked and therefore a disappointment. It's a fantastic restaurant with great service but I think we might've caught them on an off night.

We asked they be boxed up because no one acknowledged us or apologized. For $150 per person we were absolutely appalled, not a 5 star experience at all.

We booked it last minute at the recommendation from a waitress in another restaurant. She suggested a drink at the on site bar called The Bird Cage before dinner. We are planning another visit next year. Love every aspect of it. Ann was our fantastic server. Thank you for a great birthday celebration.
