Welcome to The Rex Seaside Steakhouse.

A neighborhood steakhouse using seasonal and quality ingredients to bring flavor and hospitality to Redondo Beach. Join us in our dining room every night or our Drift Cocktail Lounge on Friday and Saturdays for a night to remember.

Intentionally sourced with an eye for quality, we offer USDA Prime, Miyazaki A5 Japanese Wagyu, and American Wagyu. All are steaks are cooked to perfection over our white oak fire.

Family-owned and operated, we strive to off a one-of-a-kind luxury experience with all the charm of a neighborhood restaurant.

Great atmosphere! Everything here is absoltely delicious. This was my fourth time here and brought new friends. The Rex is purely quality dood from the bread, to the Captain's shrimp and my favorite is the chicken. While this is a steakhouse, all I have brought here love the meat and say it is just perfect. This was my fourth visit and those I have brought also returned without me! Our waitress Angela was fabolous!

1st time excited to try and Meh! Met by overpowering hard to breath air freshener, service average at first and then delayed forgotten for a non busy 530 service, steaks were burnt/blackened on the outside and undercooked inside, unimpressed with sides and expected but overpriced overall.

Excellent meals, New Year's Day dinner with a reservation. Very nice touch with a lighted menu. Side dishes are generous portions. Our server highly recommended Butter Cake for dessert which was very good Except the ice cream was so hard and difficult to enjoy, it would have been a nice accompaniment if it was softer. We mentioned the hard ice cream to our server, and hope he relayed the disappointing message.

We had our New Year’s Eve dinner at The Rex and overall I was happy with our choice. The first level dining room was full and energetic and it was very fancy for Redondo Beach. I liked our 20-oz. Bone-In Kansas City steak which was enough to share. The pommes purée was tasty but small. I wasn’t as excited about the glazed carrots. The bourbon tiramisu was a nice ending. Drinks were OK but I didn’t like the glassware that my martini and port were served in: It might have been plastic. The drink portion sizes were small for the price. I’d go back here for a special occasion to try some other dishes.

New Years Eve. We were told we had a strict limit of 2 hours. Understandable. But then the server took 30 minutes to get to our table for drinks. Then the server was always somewhere else because they were understaffed. Lobster tail was disgusting. Barely edible. $55. We managed to finish dinner in 2 hours. Ordered desert and desert wine. Then we were rushed out. Bill was almost $700 for 4. They need to mange their time better.
