The Ritz on Union has a traditional heritage while bringing a modern flair. We pride ourselves on providing a good sense of value with exquisite taste, presentation, and ambience. We offer Italian Continental dishes, inherent to our Sicilian background, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options for the most discerning of tastes, and our desserts are simply scrumptious. Enjoy cocktails and drink specials at our full bar.

During the pandemic of 2020, we demolished the old dining room portion of our facility and transformed it into The Ritz on Union. We styled a restaurant having a contemporary look, and focused the menu and service to provide the very best food and dining experience that Schenectady has to offer. In addition, we present the newest options for parties and gatherings, formal and work functions, and life events like showers, weddings and anniversaries. We can accommodate up to 65 people in our beautiful dining room.

This is my fourth visit since the beginning of this year. Each time I have brought other guests with me who have all raved about the food. The fig pizza is my favorite choice along with the arancini. I tried the pork chop entree last night which was cooked perfectly. The accompanying sauce was a great addition to the dish; just would have loved more of it on my plate as could only eat half and had none to take home with my leftovers. Highly recommend trying this restaurant next time you’re looking for a great lunch or dinner spot in Schenectady with easy free parking as an added bonus.

My wife's favorite place to go out to eat...she enjoys the Salmon Risotto so much! I have ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop the last 3 times....Last night's was so overdone...it was tough to chew. I've had some fantastic dinners there over the last couple of years though!

Service great. Bella was very attentive and made sure we got our food quickly. Food was very tasty. Pizza was great. Didn’t get the steak tonight but it’s one of my favorite steak meals in this area.

Going on a special holiday night was probably not the best option for us as we were hoping to try several items from their regular menu. No mention online anywhere that they would have a limited, select menu for the night. None the less, the food & drinks were delish. Our waitress was friendly. The inside of the restaurant was festive and comfortable. The appetizer we ordered of calamari and shrimp with brussel sprouts was so good but it was ready at the same time our entrees were but they held the entrees until we completed the app. When the entrees came out , there was an issue with one entree ordered, they gave the wrong salmon dish. Once brought to the waitress' attention, she stated that the kitchen said it was their mistake and would make the proper dish ordered immediately. They did not take the wrong salmon dish from our table. About 15 minutes later she brought out the side of risotto that was missing, stating that i can keep the incorrect salmon dish as the kitchen stated its the same salmon just with different veggies and squash instead of the order of salmon with risotto, tomatoes and parmesan. While the food was good, it was now cold and we were disappointed in how they handled this. We will go back again, just not on a special holiday. Hopefully the 2nd time is more satisfying ....
