“Almost Four Decades of Desert Dining Excellence continues under a new helm”.

As the former owner of the Adobe Garden Hotel and Irongate Restaurant in Palm Desert, Cunard’s in La Quinta, Robert Cunard’s in Palm Desert, and The Prevue in Rancho Mirage, Robert Cunard’s reputation as a restaurateur is well-established in the Coachella Valley.

He rebuilt the Sandbar, and has remained true to his tradition of quality cuisine and impeccable service.

Robert will pass the Helm of The Sandbar to Waldo Cesoni, a local seasoned Restauranteur who is already serving the Coachella Valley with Waldo’s Ristorante and Backstreet Bistro on El Paseo.

“Bob and I share the same passion for taking care of our guests and treat every one as family”, The Sandbar will continue with the same philosophy and culture for many more years to come.

Very pleasant outdoor venue at rear of restaurant. Morgan, our server, was one of the most competent and engaging servers we’ve ever encountered (and that’s a sizable universe….). She was willing to share suggestions (upon our requests) regarding wine, starters and entrees— and all recommendations were on target! We also observed her calmly and competently serving a large group across the patio. Pleasant environment, wonderful food and our server is a true asset to The Sandbar….

First time dining here. Great food, great service, very fun atmosphere with the live entertainment. We will definitely return soon.

Wonderful experience! We were seated in the bar and with live multi was a little loud but we really enjoyed the evening

It had been a while since we last ate here. Forgot just how great it is from entering the parking lot to being seated. Could not ask for anything more. They have it down pat - best food, best ambiance and above all the best wait staff!

Staff was incredibly friendly, ambience quaint with nice music and the food was out of this world delicious! Definitely worth every penny!
