                                                                                              Everything was amazing! I had my 50th birthday brunch with my girlfriends there. We all had a magnificent time. The atmosphere was upbeat and friendly. The food was delicious. The waitress and servers were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the savory crane for birthday celebrations or to meet with friends for a festive meal in RVA!

                                                                                              Service was very good. However, the entertainment was too loud. Conversation was impossible. My quiche (12 noon reservation) was a fail…..separation from crust, cold, dried out. Salad greens were overdressed. My companion’s salad however was fresh and had good presentation.

                                                                                              Made reservation for birthday brunch. Table was as small as you can get. Interfered with other diners trying to get in and out. No coffee available when sitting down. Ordered breakfast and plates delivered and still no coffee. Started to eat breakfast and they gave my wife the incorrect quiche. Coffee finally arrived, I finished my bacon and eggs then the correct meal was delivered to my wife. Had to remind server that my breakfast also came with a waffle. Overall a disaster. Didn't even comp the coffee. I don't see us going back to experience this lack of service.

                                                                                              The food was pretty good overall- I t reminds me of comfort food rather than true farm to table. My crabcakes were tasty but a bit overseasoned. The noise level was a hindrance to easy conversation. My friend had the vegetarian spaghetti squash dish which she felt was excellent. Meatloaf looked dry .

                                                                                              I always come to the Savory Grain when I want fresh culinary creations dripping in flavor and texture. The skilled bartenders have so much skill at a wide array of cocktails and beverages that I never have to worry. The atmosphere is low key at times, jazzy other times, and even overly full of a pub-like revelry on some occasions. I meet the most interesting people there all with stories to tell. I look forward to returning next week already! Thank you all for the amazing flavors and memories that you make for us patrons in pursuit of your superb restaurant dining experience.
