Nestled in the heart of Beenham Village, just a 15-minute drive from Reading town center, our family-run country pub is the perfect countryside retreat. With horses often seen strolling past, we offer an authentic, picturesque village experience.

Join us for a wide range of delicious dishes, all freshly prepared, including our popular Fish Fridays. Don’t miss our renowned Sunday roasts—a true favorite among guests and locals alike. Dogs are welcome in the pub and love to sit in the snug area in front of the fire, making it a cozy spot for everyone. Be sure to check our opening times, as our serving times for food and drink differ. Don’t forget to follow us on social media for updates and pictures!

We also offer four cozy B&B rooms for guests who wish to stay overnight.

    Lovely pub once you found it nice setting and nice friendly staff. a limited lunch menu but nice all the same.

    The food at THe Six Bells was delicious. We chose fish and chips - the fish was lightly battered, with very good chips - steak tender and tasty, cooked exactly as we like it, and a great chicken hamburger. The crumble dessert was lovely - four of us shared one with ice cream and one with custard - but wished we had ordered one each! Service was charming and unobtrusive and altogether the meal was great value.

    We were a table of eight and ate in the conservatory for Sunday lunch. Very nice roasts - enormous Yorkshire puds! Good service and reasonably priced. Would come again.

    No welcome. No heating in dining area, although we had booked, fire was grudgingly lit after a while. Table was near door so had to sit with our coats on. There seemed plenty of staff, but ages before we were given menus and, although we'd obviously chosen, we had to call staff to take order. 2 roast beefs were good, with no complaint. One vegetarian meal was sitting in gravy so was soggy. If we'd known, we could have asked for gravy to be served separately. Peas, cabbage and leeks served, all mixed together in one dish. OK if we like them all, but one person didn't. Gents toilet seemed fairly new with no complaint. Ladies' toilet smelt unpleasant. Finally, didn't notice service charge was added to bill, so inadvertently paid it.

    Good and service excellent although conservatory was quite cold due to the freezing weather. The menu was quite a contrast to the lunchtime menu which was very very disappointing. Our meal that evening though was very enjoyable.

    We had a lovely roast dinner at The Six Bells, the food was really tasty and well cooked and prices reasonable compared to other restaurants locally. We will visit again for sure, thank you
